Aaaanyway~ I was talking with my mom on the way to school today, when I had been struck with an idea!

I'm sure some of you con attendees are enthusiastic for next year's con, maybe even getting impatient like I am XDD

But here's the idea. What if had..an..unofficial pre-con meeting at a local (Meaning like McAllen or Edinburg maybe(?). I think it'd be nice, really! For some people who couldn't get to stay all the 3 days (like me ;; ) and make some new friends could meet up around here instead of waiting for the picnics(even?).

Just an idea that I hope will evolve <33

Location is still something thats being discussed because although the Valley is small, its widely spread out.
I for one, think its a wonderful idea and should be done.

It has to be somewhere close that everyone can be able to make it

Maybe we should take a vote on the place where it'd be accessable for us to go. I just said edinburg and mcallen because I am most familiar with those places. xD

Yeah McAllen and Edinburg are where most people are located but...I don't know my way around there. D:

well it can be some where like that can be easily found besides you take one road to mcallen from harlingen. and if anything we can like tell each other where to go....google maps....thats all i have to say.

True, map quest helps a lot. That's how I even got to the con and picnic in the first place xD

But either way, wherever it will be, it still needs to be planned out. If we do well enough, we could get a date set on janurary or feburary~

Twilight if anything, maybe someone can shuttle some people to the site if it ends up to far away...? Just a suggestion.

yeah, I think location is the only big problem right now, I'm here in Mercedes, *smack dab in the middle of the valley* so from here to Brownsville is like half an hour and from here to McAllen is like, half an hour, so either place is fine with me.

Hmm, first we need to gather at least a good group of people that agree on the idea, and we can start planning from there. I've already told Maki that I'll help in everywhich way possible, so I'll be there, no matter where :3

Once the group of people have been settled, then we'll move to location. Then date, then the activites.

If I can, I'll 'host' it. Consider it volunteer work for the con xD My purpose doing this is to meet and get new friends. Heck, I'll get a myspace if I have to x3;

Anyways~, I believe that Thief told me that there won't be any picnics since the girls that did them left (I thiink..I can't remember ><; ), and it'd be pretty hard on us to have to wait a whoooolle year without much contact. xD In a way, we are promoting the con so yay!

Like I said, any suggestions to make this thing happen will definately help.

Yup Maki, I had sent a note on thier Myspace asking about the Picnics and such and I got a reply saying they had stepped down. I have NO idea who's going to take their place.

I have an idea how about a cosplay mall tour or something like they have at Sun coast in Mcallen but I dunno cause I just thought of that like right now.

/At/ the mall? That might be interesting. Maybe at the mall we can promote the con a lot easier. xD Plus, air condition~ La Plaza Mall I guess then? Of course, people have to agree to it...'A';

I'll definitely go if it's in McAllen or Edinburg, don't really know my way around other areas of the valley very well, but Google Maps are always helpful. XD;

If it's done on January or Frebruary it'd probably be a good idea to consider an indoors place, you know how wacky the weather can get around those months... A mall sounds like the best place, there's plenty of space and places to eat; while a book store could also work, it'd be more likely for them to want to kick us out for being too noisy or something like that.
