New Meeting Idea?

I've gotten in touch with Shimamom herself and she said the pre-con gathering sounded like a wonderful idea, and the new Cosplay director and everything is Melissa Tovar, so they'll be picnics this coming year.

As for a Mall idea, I think that would be better, I know I've missed some because of weather...(hurricanes XD) And yeah, Hm, it seems like alot more people are from the McAllen/Edinburg area, so La Plaza would be a good place to gather. We just need to keep in check on how rowdy we'll get. XD

Well anywhere in the valley is fine with me so long as its like an hour away max... and as for the shuttling thing. i have an suv so i can take like 5 or 6 people max. so if you guys do decide on taking that mode of transportation cuse i know some people either dont have a car or their parents or what have you can't or wont take them. so with that being said we can come up with routes for people who do have vehicles we can utilize for transportin to the picnics or get togethers. i would really like to do this because there are alot of fans in the valley and we just cant seem to get together other than the actual con. i liked the fact that we could exchange views on anime at the con and people enjoyin stuff like that. i myself went to con friday and got bored so i went all the way home from the island which was like an hour and a half and got my ps2 with my custom guitar hero so everyone can enjoy it. everyone had a blast with it and i was happy to actually be there with other fans of anime, games, manga, etc.

I do say the mall would be a great idea to hold it (yay indoors X3 ) But where inside the mall? Just at the food court and we wander around into suncoast or something, or what? Ideas?

I would love to go but the ride thing might be a big problem for me.I am all the way here in los fresnos and I dont think my gram wants to spend another two hours just taking me and coming back then another two hours just to go to pick me up and come home

Well thats why we need a bigger fan base goin here if we can like get people from los fresnos and like we can meet half way or if like someone is willing to pitch in even like 5 bux or more we can do runs all over the valley. its mainly people we need.

And as for the mall hang out...whatever is fine. Suncoast is nice about letting us just hang there....but I never get anything there

they charge too much for anime. But this past sunday i wore my shimakon shirt there and they instantly helped me out among the other people waiting in line.

I would pitch in for gas for sure and they probably helped you out first because they probably thought you were with shimakon staff or something XD

Oh. If it's held at the mall then...that really shouldn't be a problem for me. My mom is in love with the La Plaza mall.

A skit would be so cool but I am already planning one with six other for a Naruto dance skit

Yea I know a couple of people had mentioned that they're in San Benito, and Los Fresno and such, I'm from Mercedes so I understand.

But I agree with Fii there, even just like 3 dollars would be good (help with gas), and a desinated pick up area. I'll be willing to hold a spot at the Civic Center in Mercedes, and then we make it a trip to the Mall from there. Unless someone has another meeting point where we can get-together to head out.

Suncoast will let us just hang out there? (we should at least buy ONE item....LOL)

Yeah, and the DN group can meet , (i'm TOTALLY for a skit!! And I hope there will be more DN participants!!)
