This is going to be my first time at ShimaKon. Can anybody give me more information about it that's not on the website?

Thank you for helping me! What specific events/attractions are there at ShimaKon? Also, a random question, will they be selling anime plushies at ShimaKon and at what prices?

Well, there's gonna be the Artist's Alley, which you'll get to see original artwork from fellow Shimakon-ers! And there'll be the cosplay hall, where you can take pics with fellow cosplayers! For more info, please look at the website! Shimakon website As for plushies, of course there'll be some! I didn't get a chance to look at the prices (seeing as the area was swarmed with buyers). Though, I do know that a lot of the merchandise is cheaper than what you'd see in a regular store.

Oh, cool! Thanks for the info! Now I can't wait! I'm an artist too, but you have to pay to show your work in the Artist's alley, right?

since it is a new upcoming kon, do not expect anything huge like A-Kon
give it a couple of years and shimakon will have the most attendees in the state of TX!! i went to shimakon last year! it was soo much fun! i made all sorts of friends!
i enjoyed myself alot! i hope you do too!!

you do have to pay for your table at the artist alley! i was told it was $50 for a table all weekend + you get 3 kon badges. if ya look at it the artist basically benefits.

Heh, I really don't expect anything big. I don't mind at all since it will be the first one i've been to! I hope to make some friends there! I can't wait! *sigh* I wish I could get a table, but I just don't want to spend that much money. heh, I have a deviantart account, so I guess I'm fine with it.

@Micchi-chan: Hm....I don't know if it's allowed but maybe you can share a table with someone! =D Though, ask the admin first if you can cuz I'm not sure. XD

ohh yes!! i was told you can share tables too to split the costs and all this way it would be cheaper!
but you must have someone at your table or someone that will help you that is over 18! ^^

This will also be my first time at ShimaKon, or...haha, any con for that matter.
It's exciting and I'd love to meet people with similiar intrests as my own.

As for tables, well, maybe after I am 18 I can attempt to get one.

It's a biiitt outdated since I am told that I do improve rather quickly.

Anyways, all in all, this will be an exciting experience and chance to meet other artists and anime/manga lovers. :3
