Anime Fiesta '08, a purely volunteer-event for those anime fanatics that are too impatient for Shimakon '08 in October.

What: Anime Fiesta '08
Why: Because some of us are too impatient to wait
Where: 4201 W. University Dr. Edinburg, TX (Cyber Comics, right next to Mission Tile)
When: February 10th, 2pm to 6pm


This is a bi-monthly event as a sort of appetizer for Shimakon.
Events are as follows:

Intro/Opening Critique! - Give us suggestions of what's on your mind!

Name that Tune! - Know your anime music? Test your knowledge there with others!

Name that Character! - Know anime characters like the back of your hand? Come to -*test*-('") that know-how with others!

Cosplay Con-*test*-('")! - The main event for the month of February! Show off your cosplays and win a prize!

Ending/Closing Critique! - Liked our little event? Have ideas on improving it? Don't be shy, your opinion matters!

Finally something near by and on a sunday. It's really hard for me to go to the other events all an hour away especially since I work weekends, I always have sunday off(I work at chickfila). But I'll totally be going to this. !

*EDIT* I just realized you planned another event on this same day and time at the Plaza Mall. o_O

yeah, he decided to move the event to this other place, because it's bigger, and we won't have to worry about security or anything.

Ian has the small stage there cleaned up. He was still kind of curious of what exactly is gonna go on. Asked if it was just gonna be a costume con-*test*-('"). I wasnt really sure how many people i could tell him that he could expect. But he did clear out the little stage there for people to get on and kind of model their outfit. So that was cool of him =^-^=

The event could be big, could be small. It just depends on how we advertise, but a lot of the colleges close by are probably coming xD!

well, i guess the numbers would be like the Suncoast event.....then add 20+ just incase. Seeing as it's the first time it's being held and such.

Ah ok cool. I'm always iffy about the mall thing since I only like going to the mall if theres actually a con going on and its linked to the mall. Other then that I'm like 'uhhh' Thats how I felt after I wore my Allen costume around the mall. lots of dirty looks T_T
